New Semester

So today was the first day of my last semester in high school.
Today I had a mix of emotions from the people that were in my new classes and for the fact that today was the first day of my last semester at North Davidson High School. Here's my schedule:

First Period - Anatomy and Physiology Honors
Second Period - Sociology
Third Period - AP Government and Politics
Fourth Period - AP Calculus

Dumb, hard, a breeze, hardest semester ever? Yeah I've thought of all of these.

First of all in Anatomy there are about 30 some kids. Seems average right? Nope, I'm one of six guys in the class. The girls are kinda overwhelming but I guess I'll get used to it haha. Throughout the year we will be dissecting a cat! I'm really looking forward to this haha. I'm actually kinda anxious to learn about the human body and the smaller version in a cat's body. We start dissecting in about two or three weeks I believe. I can't wait!!!

Second is the wonderful class Sociology. :| notice the sarcasm? Yeah Sociology seems like an easy class to go through. I agree it will be an easy class, but it's going to be uber awkward when I have like one person in the class I actually talk to. Most of the kids in the class are seniors, this is a plus, but most of these seniors either A: party every waking moment or B: smoke pot or do drugs every blooming day. Nothing like the sour smell of alcohol and the sweet smell of smoked weed. :| Great.

Third is AP Government and Politics. This is probably my second favorite class. I have a couple friends in here and one of my favorite teachers, teaches. So it's a very laid back feeling in the class, that is until we start talking about the economy, healthcare, democrats, and republicans, then the whole class becomes an uproar. Yay. :| more sarcasm there haha. Well other than the great debates that will arise during the class, I'm looking forward to knowing more about myself and what party I may end up in. As of now I choose to be independent, because neutral is always good, like Switzerland haha. Seriously I think I'm going to become very knowledgeable by the end of the semester. The only problem with this class is the fact that its an AP course, which means there'll be an AP exam in May. Unless I memorize until my brain fries I doubt I'll do any good on the AP exam.

Fourth is AP Calculus. This class is the same class I had first period last semester with like two extra kids from like South Davidson or somewhere, so getting to know people wont be a problem this time. :) When I though last semester was tough in AP Calculus I hadn't seen anything yet. :/ Today, even though we had less than an hour in the class because of a shortened schedule, we began learning immediately. Today we started on the opposites of derivatives, which is called Antiderivatives or Antidifferentiation. According to Microsoft spell checker, those words aren't even words. :| Yep, Calculus is literally its own language, which means I'm like a Mexican that just jumped the border haha. :D This wonderful Calculus is also an AP class which means there's an AP exam for it in May also. Woot, woot. :| (again sarcasm haha.) This semester I'm really gonna have to buckle down and study like crazy in Calculus, and I have to do all the homework so I'll actually know what my teacher is talking about during class haha.

So now that I've complained about every class, I know you all wish you were in my classes haha. That's what you get at North Davidson, school of the DC rednecks and preps. Should be a good last few months in my final high school year. NOT! June 11th, you can't arrive soon enough.
